He studied automotive technology a the College of the Canyons, and served as an apprentice automotive mechanic at Volkswagen, Porsche, and Audi. He has continued to participate in in ongoing trainings offered in his field. He has previously served as a heavy equipment mechanic for the California Division of Highways, and as a Motor Carrier Specialist for the California Highway Patrol. He currently serves as the Vice President of a Motor Vehicle Safety Consultancy in California.

This highly-qualified expert has over 20 years of experience in electrical and electronics engineering, rail transit systems design, construction, project management, light rail vehicle, and field wayside maintenance areas. He earned his BS in electrical and electronics engineering from California State University at Sacramento and his MBA in strategic leadership from Amberton University. He is licensed as a registered professional engineer in California. He formerly served as a technologist for Bechtel Power Corporation, a stop and zones technician and acting administrator for Orange County Transportation Authority, a project engineer for DCM Industries and Balfour Beatty Rail Systems. He also served as the associate systems design engineer for the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, working with the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) team on the Silicon Valley Rapid Transit (SVRT) BART Extension Project. Currently, this expert is a senior systems engineer of rail operations for a local transportation authority in California.

This accident reconstruction expert earned a masters degree in kinesiology from California State University Northridge and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from UCLA. He is a certified traffic reconstructionist and specializes in accident reconstruction and biomechanics for transportation related accidents (trains, subways, motor vehicles, buses, etc). He belongs to numerous prestigious societies in his field, including the National Association of Traffic Accident Reconstructions, National Association of Railroad Safety Consultants and Investigators and the International Society of Biomechanics.
