This expert has nearly a decade of experience in railroad operations and safety. He is a member of both the United Transportation Union and American Corporate Partners. Formerly, he served as a railway conductor and railway crew manager at BNSF Railway, as well as a regional safety manager at Rescar. He has also served as the senior manager of operations and vice president of railway operations at Railway Safety Consultants, LLC, where he led international railway operations in performance metrics, training standards, auditing, and government compliance. Currently, this expert is the Director of Maritime Relations at a leading provider of private maritime safety and security solutions, while he also serves as a Maritime Nautical Inspector for the second largest open ship registry in the world, conducting safety, International Safety Management, and Port Security Inspection audits. He is also a Visiting Professor and Deck Training Officer at a major maritime academy.

Concurrently, he created and directed the operations of a transportation service company and the US distributor of a line of European manufactured buses. He belongs to the American Public Transportation Association, the National Association of Pupil Transportation, and the United Motorcoach Association. He has authored more than 100 publications on bus safety, and is extremely well versed in all aspects of training bus drivers

This accident reconstruction expert earned a masters degree in kinesiology from California State University Northridge and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from UCLA. He is a certified traffic reconstructionist and specializes in accident reconstruction and biomechanics for transportation related accidents (trains, subways, motor vehicles, buses, etc). He belongs to numerous prestigious societies in his field, including the National Association of Traffic Accident Reconstructions, National Association of Railroad Safety Consultants and Investigators and the International Society of Biomechanics. This highly qualified expert is the founder and principal of a consultancy for technology and intellectual property investigation in electrical machines, electromagnetic devices, and their applications, particularly in the automotive, aerospace and transportation fields. He holds 49 US patents with 4 more applied for, and authored or co-authored twenty-two papers in referred journals. He is the recipient of ten Best Paper Awards, seven from the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS), and three from the Society of Automotive Engineers. This expert is also past President of the IEEE Industry Applications Society. This expert received a first degree in France from Ecole Suprieure d'Electricit and a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. This expert’s involvement in school transportation began behind the wheel of a bus in the 1970s. In 1985 he served as Supervisor of a New York State Education Department Regional Safety Center and was involved in projects such as developing School Bus Driver Instructor and classroom student safety curricula. He returned to Syracuse University in 1989 and earned a Masters in Adult Education. After graduating he started two school travel safety non-profit organizations, The Pupil Transportation Safety Institute and then Safety Rules! where he currently works.
