This highly qualified occupation health and safety expert has over 30 years of experience in his field, specializing in asbestos, lead, and industrial hygiene issues. After earning his BS from the University of Massachusetts, this expert went on to become a certified safety professional and ergonomics assessment specialist. He is an active member of the American Society of Safety Professionals and has completed extensive professional development coursework with the OSHA Training Institute Education Center of New England. Namely, this expert has training and experience in excavations, trenching, and soil mechanics; electrical standards; fall arrest systems; accident investigation; and safety and health management. Formerly, he served as a safety officer and project monitor for Dec-Tam Corporation and as a technical coordinator for Quality Control Services, Inc. He has testified in numerous trials and depositions for both plaintiff and defense attorneys. He has been qualified as an expert in construction and personal injury cases in courtrooms from New York City to Connecticut to Boston and has authored and presented numerous Continuing Legal Education courses, coast to coast. This expert has been specifically trained in residential and commercial building codes, construction site safety, residential and commercial building envelopes, slip, trip and fall accidents and building inspections. His decades of practical experience provides him with the unique ability to translate written code words into three-dimensional, real world interpretations making him extremely valuable as a forensic expert. Since the late 1970’s, This expert has been involved in the residential and commercial construction and building inspection industries. He also has extensive experience in prefabricated buildings and ran separate building manufacturing, roofing and drywall companies as subsidiaries of his construction company. Using the partnership and knowledge of his father, combined with his natural instincts and abilities as a building professional, he has worked side by side with his dad in the family building inspection and construction businesses since the late 1970’s. As this expert says, “you cannot learn in college what you can learn from your father”. With that as his mantra, he is a firm believer that there is no better educational resource than hands-on experience. In 2014 this expert was hired as the lead expert by one of New York City’s most prominent personal injury law firms to act as the plaintiff’s safety expert in a construction accident case that returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $62 million, the highest amount ever awarded to a single plaintiff in the history of Queens, New York.

This expert holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Pathology, a Masters degree ion Environmental Health and Radiation Health Physics and a Bachelors degree in Biology. He worked for several years in academic research related to pulmonary injury and disease and pulmonary carcinogenesis. He also worked a the director of an environmental testing laboratory. In addition, this expert worked as an industrial Hygienist and as the Director of Safety at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. For the past 15 years he has been an independent consultant in Environmental Health, Safety and Toxicology. He advises attorneys and testifies in legal matters.
