This expert is nationally recognized as a school bus expert who has been working in the industry since 1978. He has successfully taught Fire, Law Enforcement, and EMTs for 25 years about the characteristics of the school bus so they can respond to a crash and rescue scene with more confidence in their response. He established a school bus training consultancy in 2000 to specialize in training the school bus industry, the fire and rescue industry, and law enforcement on the construction and design of the school bus. He has trained over 14,000 fire and rescue and EMT workers, and scores of law enforcement have learned about the school bus, what they need to know to be successful in a rescue effort, and how to enter or breach a school bus more effectively for 25 years. He is recognized by the industries as an expert on school buses. In 1985 was the Supervisor of Transportation Equipment (Fleet Manager) for Minneapolis Public Schools. He has worked with Minnesota legislation concerning school buses for many years, served on two governor's task forces, 1994 and 2006. He has served five National Congress on School Transportation conferences, as a delegate from Minnesota, served on the Body Committee, the Chassis Committee, Chaired the Chassis Committee, Vice-Chaired the Special Education Committee, and the Safety and Security Committee. He also has presented annually at the School Transportation News (STN) EXPO conference and at the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) every year since 1999. He currently presents at state and regional conferences on a regular basis.

This highly qualified expert has a BS from the University of Illinois, a MPA from Governors State University, and a PhD from Walden University (residency performed at Indiana University). Dr. Henson is an independent drug and alcohol testing consultant, providing drug and alcohol testing evaluations, research, and expert testimony. He has been qualified as an expert in field sobriety testing, drug and alcohol testing, physiology, and pharmacology in criminal, civil, and employment law cases across the United States. Dr. Henson has served as a police officer, police administrator, a police academy instructor supervising the alcohol testing program at the University of Illinois, a college professor at multiple institutions, and as a Dean of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. He has served on several advisory and research committees related to law enforcement and drug and alcohol testing using breath, blood, urine, saliva, and field sobriety testing. Clients have included fortune 500 companies, professional athletes (NBA & MLB), employee unions, and government entities.

This expert been retained as an expert in more than one hundred (100) cases and has been qualified and testified at several civil trials in state and federal courts. This expert most frequently has been retained on cases regarding use of force, false arrest, police pursuits/emergency vehicle response but has also been retained in several other areas. He has conducted several Sensitive Internal Investigations as an independent investigator for numerous municipalities and other entities regarding allegations of Police Misconduct. This expert received his AS in Science from Lincoln Trail College and is an Accredited Traffic Accident Reconstructionist by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstructionists. He has certifications in Bosch EDR, Level I Event Data Recorder Use in Traffic Crash Reconstruction, and is a Crash Reconstruction Specialist. He is an active member in the Illinois Association of Technical Accident Investigators and the Illinois Traffic Safety Leaders. Currently, he is a police officer and the Chief of Police at a police department in Illinois, as well as an owner and lead crash reconstruction investigator at a large accident reconstruction firm in Illinois.

This qualified expert has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement. His expertise includes strong organizational management and extensive knowledge of public safety administrative policies and operational procedures. He previously worked for the Michigan State Police in various positions including major and regions commander of the field services bureau. At the Field Service Bureau, he was responsible for managing quality control and operational direction of all Michigan state police law enforcement services in Michigan's 83 counties. His most recent position was chief of police for the city of Lowell where he performed employee performance reviews, investigated alleged employee misconduct, and violations of personnel rules.
