This expert has worked in the criminal justice field over 40 years, beginning her career in corrections and law enforcement. She is a criminologist, trainer, author, and consultant on crime issues to national and international organizations with expertise in gender and sexual violence. As a consultant with the National Institute of Corrections, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, US Department of Justice, US Attorney General, Pentagon, American University and numerous other groups, she has conducted research at adult and juvenile penitentiaries across the country. She has authored national training curricula on gender and corrections. She received her Bachelors degree in Sociology from Oregon State University ; two master's degrees at University of Oregon; Ph.D.in Sociology (classwork completed at University of Oregon; comps and dissertation through Columbia State University)

This expert has 26 years of experience with the Oregon State Police and ample experience in teaching, human resources investigation, and public safety training. He received a BS in the administration of justice from Portland State University and a master's in education focusing on adult education from Oregon State University. This expert formerly served as a sergeant first class in the Oregon Army National Guard and as a captain in the United States Army Reserves. Following those roles, he spent 26 years with the Oregon State Police, serving as a trooper, a senior trooper, and then a patrol sergeant. He then took on a communications supervision role at the Portland Regional Dispatch Center and a part-time training position for the Salem Department of Public Safety Standards and Training. Outside of these jobs, he worked as a human resources investigator for the Local Government Personnel Institute and as an adjunct professor at Concordia University and Pacific University. He has extensive experience teaching about multiculturalism and cultural diversity and even designed the first cultural diversity courses and curricula for multiple academic programs. This expert is currently an adjunct professor in fire service administration at a university and in criminal justice at a community college, as well as the owner of a training and human resources consulting firm, all in Oregon.
