Over the course of his career, he has designed shift-by-wire electronic driver controls, power-train control modules, electronic transmission control units, body electronic control units, and hybrid-electric vehicle electronics. Currently, this expert serves as the principal engineer at an automotive electronics engineering firm in Michigan.

He then began his 30-year career with Ford Motor Company, starting as a technical hotline engineer. He then served as a factory training instructor and a field service engineer for Ford Motor Company, where he provided service support to Ford and Lincoln dealerships.

This avid motorcyclist works in the professional motorcycle racing industry, and has access to motorcycles similar or identical to that described in this case. He was also a track coach for 6 years during his tenure at Pro-Motion and Sportbike Track Time.
