He earned his BS and MS from the Colorado School of Mines and his PhD in biomedical engineering from Oregon Health & Science University. He is certified in prosthetics and a member of the International Society for Posture and Gait Research. This highly-qualified expert has over 50 years of experience as a chemical engineer specializing in flexible packaging and labeling materials and processes. He received his BS in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri before earning his MS in chemistry from the University of Delaware. He is active in his field as a board member of the Label Printing Industries of America and currently holds 40 patents internationally, with 15 of these patents filed in the United States. He has formerly served as a research engineer for the Olin Corporation, the chemical corps planning officer for the US Army, and a research engineer for E.I. duPont deNemours. This expert spent over 20 years working in the films division at Mobil Chemical Company in a variety of roles. Most notably, he served as a development engineer, the commercial development and new product development manager, and the new product identification manager of new business development and labeling materials. He also briefly served as the VP of operations and research at Scharr Industries. For the past 25 years, this expert has served as the founder and president of a labeling materials consulting company in New York.

He specializes in mechanical design, scale model testing, heat transfer, equipment packaging, CFD analysis, and process/design FMEA. He obtained both his BS and MS in mechanical engineering at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, before beginning his career in the field. Today, he is a licensed professional engineer in Connecticut and Maine. This expert previously served as a mechanical engineer at Depuy Orthopedics, as a boiler design engineer at Babcock Power Inc., and as a project engineer at Apex Engineering. He is currently an equipment engineer at a global fuel cell power company in Connecticut.

This expert received his BS and MS from the Mechanical Engineering Department at MIT and is a licensed engineer in NY and CT. He currently works as a forensic/consulting engineer at a private engineering firm. His investigative and analytic experience includes motor vehicle accident reconstruction, biomechanics, product design and safety, and computer simulation and animation. He has also served as a member of the ANSI/NGCMA Z130.1 engineering specifications committee.
