This highly qualified expert earned his BS from Hope College and his PhD in organic chemistry from Indiana University. He has experience in catalyst research in support of polyethylene manufacturing, additive stabilization of polymers, interaction of chemicals with plastics, extrusion production of plastic pipe, plastic pipe material technical service and plastic pipe system component testing. End use applications in which he is a plastics expert include corrugated plastic pipe, water distribution and plumbing systems, oil and gas production, plastic gas pipe, and conduit. In addition, this expert is active in his field as a member of numerous societies including The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Gas Association, American Petroleum Institute, Plastic Pipe Institute, and Society of Plastics Engineers. This expert is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology and hypertension. He began his career as a clinical nephrologist for Colorado Kidney Associates. He then worked as an electronic medical records consultant for companies like Kaiser Permanente before becoming an assistant professor of medicine in the division of renal diseases and hypertension at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He has served in many distinguished roles, including the medical director of the hemodialysis unit at the Denver Veteran's Affairs Medical Center and the chief of nephrology at HealthOne Sky Ridge Medical Center.
