This expert been retained as an expert in more than one hundred (100) cases and has been qualified and testified at several civil trials in state and federal courts. This expert most frequently has been retained on cases regarding use of force, false arrest, police pursuits/emergency vehicle response but has also been retained in several other areas. He has conducted several Sensitive Internal Investigations as an independent investigator for numerous municipalities and other entities regarding allegations of Police Misconduct. Currently, he is a police officer and the Chief of Police at a police department in Illinois, as well as an owner and lead crash reconstruction investigator at a large accident reconstruction firm in Illinois.

Dr. Henson has served as a police officer, police administrator, a police academy instructor supervising the alcohol testing program at the University of Illinois, a college professor at multiple institutions, and as a Dean of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. He has served on several advisory and research committees related to law enforcement and drug and alcohol testing using breath, blood, urine, saliva, and field sobriety testing.
