Michigan ballistics expert witnesses analyze firearm function, ammunition performance, and shooting reconstruction for matters across the state. Many are former Michigan State Police crime lab examiners, forensic engineers, or range and armorer specialists familiar with Detroit-area gun violence patterns and rural hunting incidents in the Upper Peninsula. They evaluate trajectories, toolmarks, distance determinations, and firearm safety defects.
