Indiana ballistics expert witnesses analyze firearms, ammunition, toolmarks, and shooting reconstruction for matters arising across the state. Many are former Indiana State Police laboratory examiners, law enforcement firearms instructors, or engineers with experience in Midwest manufacturing. Their work reflects Indiana’s mix of urban incidents in Indianapolis and rural hunting-related shootings. They evaluate muzzle-to-target distance, trajectory, weapon function, and bullet identification.
