Pesticide Poisoning Expert Witnesses in Georgia

This expert in toxicology had a 22-year career in regulatory positions at the Food and Drug Administration. The expert joined the FDA in 1977 and served as the Special Assistant to the Director of the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition and as the Director of Division of Toxicological Research. Following retirement from Federal service, he was also the State Toxicologist, Chemical Terrorism Laboratory Director, and State Counterterrorism Coordinator working within the Alabama Department of Public Health. She earned her BS in chemistry at the University of Georgia before completing her PhD in analytical chemistry at the University of Arizona. She then completed an MS in forensic toxicology at the University of Florida. She is board certified and a fellow in forensic toxicology by the American Board of Forensic Toxicology, a certified toxicological chemist by the National Registry of Certified Chemists, and a licensed clinical laboratory director in the state of Florida. She is very active in her field as a member of several professional societies including the Society of Forensic Toxicologist, the American Academy of Forensic Science, and the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists. In addition, this expert has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles. Formerly, this expert was a toxicologist level II and III for the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner Department. She is not the director of the toxicology laboratory at a medical examiner's office in Florida.

This expert has extensive experience in both construction and home inspections for mold, water intrusion, air quality, termite damage, and pesticide handling and misuse. He is a certified pest control operator, residential thermographer, and entomologist. He is also a licensed building inspector and mold assessor. This highly-qualified expert has over 20 years of experience in the field of agriculture, specializing in weed science, precision agriculture, and pest management in horticultural crops. He earned his BS in biology and his MS in plant sciences from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia before earning his PhD in plant sciences from the University of Manitoba. He is active in his field as a member of several professional organizations, including the International Society of Precision Agriculture and the International Weed Science Society, and as a highly-published scientific researcher. He formerly served as a research horticulturalist for the USDA-ARS and as an associate professor at Nova Scotia Agriculture College. Currently, this expert works at a university in Florida, where he serves as an associate professor and the associate center director of a plant science research center.
