This highly qualified expert is a board-certified pediatrician with over 10 years of experience in general pediatrics, including both outpatient and inpatient services. She received her BS in integrated life sciences from Kent State University and her MD from Northeast Ohio Medical University. She then completed her residency in pediatrics at Michigan State University. This expert is active in the field of pediatrics as a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and as a public speaker on various topics in children's health and medicine.

She received her medical degree from Ege University Faculty of Medicine and has been in practice for 31 years. She holds two board certifications, and is currently working on a parental education program to prevent shaken impact syndrome and the development of online training material on child abuse and neglect for medical trainees at the University of Iowa as well as the implementation of trauma informed care. She is currently the Director of Nursing for a local urgent care center.
