New Mexico neuropsychiatry expert witnesses bridge neurology and psychiatry to assess brain-based behavior and cognitive change. Many practice through UNM Health and regional hospitals, bringing experience with rural access challenges and Southwestern patient populations. They commonly focus on traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative disease, epilepsy-related mood disorders, and medication effects. These experts evaluate diagnosis, causation, capacity, prognosis, and standards of neuropsychiatric care.
