Material Handling Expert Witnesses in Kentucky

This expert has been working with Material Handling Equipment for nearly 40 years. He began his career at Brodie, Inc., which offers a complete line of material handling, industrial and warehousing equipment. He then worked for Clarklift of St. Louis, conducting safety training and service training classes for the use of machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Prior to retirement this expert was the Manager of Facilities, Distribution and Manufacturing at Schnucks Markets, Inc. He supervised and managed between 13-25 employees and manages a fleet of over 250 pieces of material handling equipment and all inventory and related equipment. Currently he is working for a new start up operation at a 1 million square foot warehouse operation. He has undergone multiple continuing education classes, such as the Train the Trainer Program for material handling equipment and High Lift certification class, and he is actively involved in training others on how to properly utilize material handling equipment.

This expert has over 50 years of experience in commercial motor carrier and trucking industry. His work in the industry has focused on customary practices, standard of care, tractor-trailers, and compliance and safety training and practices for drivers, motor carriers, warehouses and forklifts. He received his certificate in traffic & transportation law & management from the University of Virginia and is active in his field as a member of the Association of Transportation Law Professionals and the Cardinal Criminal Justice Academy. He is certified by the Department of Transportation as a breath alcohol technician and factory authorized calibration technician, by OSHA as a train the trainer in forklift safety, and by FEMA through their emergency management institute. He previously served as the vice president of Russell Transfer, Inc., the senior vice president of Valley Transport Associates, and corporate secretary of Fleetmaster Express, Inc. This expert is currently the managing member of a transportation safety and compliance consultancy in Virginia.

This expert has been working with supermarket inventory for over 15 years. He worked as an Inventory Controller for Save-A-Lot for a number of years, where he was responsible for daily monitoring and maintenance of inventory adjustments, shipping, and receiving, and he was also a member of the Safety Committee. Currently, this expert is a Shift Manager at a major food warehouse, overseeing day to day warehouse operations including supervision, shipping, receiving, and transportation. He supervises over 50 employees daily and trains and evaluates them, and he is responsible for all processes, equipment, and safety of the warehouse. This expert is trained in both OSHA Safety and Wiese Industrial Safety and is certified to train on Caterpillar, Linde, Raymond, and Crown fork trucks.

This expert currently owns and manages a national business which specializes in training forklift operators and trainers. He is also an active trainer who trains on a regular basis. Unlike many forklift experts, who may have trained small numbers of operators and no trainers, this expert has trained many thousands of operators and trainers across a variety of industries. He has also investigated hundreds of forklift accidents, including many serious injuries and a number of fatalities. He has surveyed hundreds of sites to improve forklift and pedestrian safety. His areas of expertise are the safe operation of forklifts, the proper training of operators/trainers and in compliance with OSHA standards.
