This expert has over 30 years of experience in the roofing and building enclosure industry. He earned his AAS in civil engineering technology from Hawkeye Institute of Technology before earning his BA in computer science and business administration from Coe College. He is licensed as a professional engineer in 4 states and is a registered roof consultant and exterior wall consultant. He is active in his field as a member of ASTM International, the Roof Consultants Institute, and the Building Enclosure Council, and as an author of several articles on roofing and building codes. He formerly served as a design engineer and project manager for Shive-Hattery Engineers and Architects, the office manager for VJ Engineer, and a project engineer with Brown Engineering, where he was responsible for building envelope and roofing consulting projects. Currently, this expert serves as a project engineer for facilities at a roofing engineering consulting firm based in Iowa.

He has given multiple lectures at the Wyoming Safety and Health Summit, as well as at the Wyoming State Bar Association. This expert currently works for a consulting company that focuses primarily on exposure assessment, occupational disease prevention, and occupational health and safety.
