Kinesiology Expert Witnesses in Virginia

This expert earned his BS in Kinesiology from Colorado State University and his MS in Exercise Science from the University of Central Missouri. 19 of his 23 years spent as a football coach have been at the college level, where he has held several assistant coaching positions and administrative roles in the athletic department. The expert is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Currently, he is the head football coach at a Division III college in Tennessee.

This highly qualified expert is an Associate Professor of Community Health and Physical Education. She has a Ph.D. in Kinesiology (Physical Education Teacher Education) from the College of Physical Activity and Sports Science at West Virginia University, a MS in Community Health Education from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, and a BS in Health and Physical Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She was among the first group of health educators in the United States certified as a Master Certified Health Education Specialist. With over twenty years in her field she has presented and been published in numerous scholarly articles relating to topics on health education and wellness.

This biomedical and biomechanical expert spent over 15 years as a Professor at Johns Hopkins University and over 20 years as a member of their Applied Physics Laboratory. He has worked in biomedical implant analysis and design, materials biomechanics, and laminated composite analysis and design. He earned a B.S and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as a Ph.D. in the same field from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The expert was named a Fellow in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2010 and was selected as the Specialty Chief Editor of the Frontiers online journal Biomechanics in 2013. He has written three book chapters, co-authored 100+ peer-reviewed publications, conference proceedings and presentations, and received 16 patents, including patents involving hip replacements dating back to the 1980s. He currently runs his own consulting firm specializing in composite design and analysis, biomechanics of impact, structural design and analysis, and proposal writing.

He began his career completing a BS at Southeast Missouri State in Health Management and then continued on to complete a Master degree in Exercise Physiology where he graduated summa cum laude. For four years prior to starting his PhD, this expert worked as a clinical exercise physiologist during which time he conducted fitness assessments and provided dietary/exercise recommendations to individuals, including those with chronic medical conditions. He currently holds a PhD in Exercise Science, having completed a dissertation on the effects of obesity on skeletal muscle protein degradation. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS) and is certified as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist by ACSM. He active as an assistant professor at a major US university in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion. He has published several papers concerning exercise interventions for those with chronic diseases. He teaches courses in Nutrition and Physical Fitness, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Skeletal Muscle Physiology, and is preparing to offer a course focused on exercise interventions for those with chronic disease.
