Illinois infectious disease expert witnesses provide medical opinions on infection diagnosis, transmission, and treatment standards. Many are board-certified ID physicians, hospital epidemiologists, or microbiology and antimicrobial stewardship leaders from Chicago academic centers and major health systems. In Illinois, they address urban hospital and long-term care infection risks. They commonly evaluate HAIs, sepsis, C. difficile, antibiotic resistance, and outbreak source tracing.
