This expert has over 25 years of experience in physical therapy, specializing in spine rehabilitation and extremity conservative and post surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic manual therapy, with additional specialization in ankle and foot rehabilitation and orthotics. She earned her BA in psychology and BS in physical education from the University of California Berkeley, her MPT from Emory University, and her DPT from Evidence in Motion. She is certified in dry needling and as an orthopedic specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. This licensed physical therapist previously served as a staff physical therapist at West Portland Physical Therapy Clinic, at Reid and Yates Physical Therapy, and at New Heights Integrative Therapy. He earned his BS in exercise science from Central Washington University and his MS in human movement from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine. This expert holds multiple certifications including as a TPI level 2 fitness professional, strength and conditioning specialist, corrective exercise specialist, and level 2 nutrition coach. Additionally, he is active in his field as a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and has taken part in multiple professional development programs. Formerly, he served as a strength and conditioning coach at Central Washington University, a student athletic trainer and assistant power lifting coach at Auburn High School, and as a personal trainer at both Pure Fitness and Callaway Fitness. Currently, this expert is a karate instructor at a self defense school and a personal trainer at a fitness and community center located in Washington.
