He graduated with the highest honors from medical school and residency. He is board certified in Neurology and is a current fellow in neuroimmunology at several prestigious hospitals in Boston. He has authored over twenty peer-reviewed articles, ten book chapters and given many presentations on various topics in neurology.

He earned his BS neurobiology from the University of California, Davis and his MD and PhD in anatomy and neurobiology at Boston University. He completed his internship, his residency in pediatrics, and his fellowship in pediatric neurology at the Children's National Medical Center. She is currently an Associate Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Radiology at a major medical center. She is also the director of interventional neurology and neuroradiology as well as the program director for endovascular surgical neuroradiology at a major university medical center.
