His primary research interests are related to the influences of commonly used medications and comorbidity on cancer risk and outcomes among cancer survivors.

This highly qualified expert has over 50 years of experience in his field. He earned his BS and MS at the University of Illinois, and his MD at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Illinois. He has lectured and been published extensively, and is a member of several professional medical associations. Previously, he has held various academic appointments, and served as the Chief of Infectious Disease at the West Side VA Medical Center and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently, he serves as a Professor of Medicine and Microbiology at a Medical School in Illinois.
