West Virginia correctional mental health expert witnesses assess psychiatric care, suicide prevention, and medication management in jails and prisons. They are often forensic psychiatrists, correctional psychologists, or psychiatric nurses with experience in WV Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation facilities and rural Appalachian treatment settings. They evaluate standards of care, risk assessment, restraint use, and continuity of treatment.
