Child abuse and neglect expert witnesses analyze whether a child’s injuries, behavior, or environment are consistent with maltreatment, inadequate supervision, or systemic failure. Drawn from pediatrics, child psychology, social work, and child protective services, they assess records, policies, reporting standards, and risk factors to clarify causation and care quality.
