Cardiothoracic Surgery Expert Witnesses in Ohio

This board-certified and experienced expert earned his MD from Wayne State University. He then went on to complete an Internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, as well as two Residencies in General and Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from Wayne State University. He is active in his field as a member of several professional organizations, such as the American College of Cardiology and the , Society of Thoracic Surgeons. Formerly, he was a Clinical Instructor and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Wayne State University, and is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at a regional medical university, as well as an Attending Surgeon at six regional medical centers.

This expert is the head of the Section of Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery and the Co-Director of the Congenital Heart Center, at his university. His major clinical interests are in complex congenital heart defect repair. His research interests are in clinical and translational research and are supported by his role as the Co-Founder of the Michigan Congenital Heart Outcomes Research and Discovery (M-CHORD) program. He is the study chair of a 15-center randomized trial comparing techniques for the Norwood operation for hypoplastic left heart syndrome, the first multi-institutional prospective trial ever performed in congenital heart surgery. He is also the Program Director for his university's Congenital Cardiac Surgery Residency.

This highly qualified expert is board certified in general and interventional pediatric cardiology and has been practicing for 27+ years. He completed his residency training at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center and his fellowship training at Yale-Haven Hospital. He is a fellow of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He has authored and edited numerous professional publications and lectures both nationally and internationally. He is the former chief of pediatric cardiology and a current professor of pediatrics at a major university hospital in Pennsylvania. He is currently the director of Interventional Pediatric Cardiology at a major university hospital on Pennsylvania.
