He earned his AS in criminal justice from Midland Community College and his BS in information systems from the University of Texas Permian Basin. As a certified accident reconstructionist, he has completed over 500 hours of formal training on topics from crash reconstruction to vehicle data recording. Further, he is a Texas Traffic Law and Crash Investigation Instructor. Currently, this expert is a collision investigator for a local police department and he owns a collision investigation company based in Texas.

He has also previously served as safety director, manager and DOT compliance administrator for various organizations, including, Expedited Logistics and Freight Services, Hyperion Safety Services and Baker Hughes. Currently, he serves as manager for DOT and compliance at a transportation company in Texas.
