Vehicle Accident Reconstruction Expert Opines on Fatal Car Crash

Case Overview

This case involves a head on vehicle collision that resulted in the death of one of the drivers. The plaintiff arrived at the top of a small crest, at which point he drifted into the oncoming lane. As soon as he realized this, he immediately corrected his direction. The defendant swerved over and hit the plaintiff head on. The defendant sustained minor injuries, while the plaintiff sustained incapacitating injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. It was alleged that the defendant did not correct her actions prior to impact causing an accident and inflicting severe and debilitating injuries to the plaintiff that ultimately led to his death. In the consequent trial, an expert in accident reconstruction was needed to opine on the collision and present a visual demonstration of their findings using Jvt image processing.
