Occupational Exposure to Chemicals Allegedly Causes Blood Disease

Case Overview

In this case, several workers at a large rubber and adhesive manufacturing facility were diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer. The workers, all of whom were under 40 years old at the time of their diagnosis, believe that they fell ill due to repeated exposure to chemicals used in the rubber manufacturing process. In particular, all of the affected workers were employed in roles that put them at risk for exposure to high levels of benzine used in the rubber manufacturing process.
