She received her BA from University of Massachusetts and then went on to receive her MA and PhD from California School of Professional Psychology. He then went on to complete a medical-surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, and his fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of California, San Diego. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, the National Board of Medical Examiners, and the American College of Surgeons. He is a licensed physician in California. He has published 5 books, 23 chapters, and over 150 journal articles, as well as presenting extensively on topics in his field. He specializes in post-trauma limb reconstruction, including non-unions, mal-unions, shortening and post-trauma infections of bones and joints. He has been in active clinical practice for decades and has taught at some of America's premier academic medical institutions. Formerly, he served as the president of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society and the Association of Bone & Joint Surgeons. Currently, he works as an orthopedic surgeon for a private practice in Southern California and as a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at at a University and Medical Center in California.

This highly qualified expert has over 10 years of experience in emergency, trauma, and ICU specialties. She earned her BA in psychology and her BS in nursing from Dominican University. She then completed her MS in nursing administration at Holy Names University. This expert is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association and the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She formerly was a staff and charge nurse at emergency, trauma, and ICUs throughout California and Hawaii. Currently, she serves as the director of nursing, emergency, and trauma services at an adult level one trauma center in California.
