Recreational Safety Expert Witnesses

This qualified expert has over 20 years of experience in water park operations. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. A member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, he worked for over 15 years at Wild Rivers Waterpark, ranging in positions from Special Projects Manager to Vice President. He currently works as Vice President of Operations and Principal.

This expert has been involved in the ski/snow sport safety industry for more than 40 years. He has extensive experience in evaluating winter sports sites such as ski areas, tubing, and sledding venues. He is certified as a professional ski instructor, and as an outdoor emergency care technician, and a snowmobile instructor. He is a member of numerous societies relating to winter sports safety, and has taught skiing and ski patrolled at numerous ski resorts.

This sports and recreation expert is located in Canada and is a member of Parks & Recreation Ontario, Coaching Associations of Canada, and Phsyical & Health Education Canada. He is currently Programming Chair and Board Member of a major recreational association.

This highly qualified expert graduated with a BA in Political Science from Brooklyn College, City University of New York and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law. He subsequently practiced law for the following 20 years, handling complex litigation from both a Plaintiff and Defense perspective. Currently, he is the Executive Director of an ACA accredited summer camp in New Jersey, which he has managed and operated since 1996. At this co-ed overnight camp, He oversees all administrative operations, risk management and safety protocols of this resident camp of 300 campers and 85+ staff. He is also a certified Camp Director by the American Camp Association.

A certified leisure professional and playground safety inspector, this expert is also a nationally acknowledged expert in the area of playground safety. She has made presentations both nationally and internationally on playground design and safety, and is the author /co author of over 150 articles on playgrounds and children’s play. This expert has held numerous leadership and committee assignments in national professional organizations, including the American Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and the National Recreation and Park Association.
